Job description

Company Description UBABY Color is a creativity and art education program for children ages 2 to 13, focused on developing independent thinking through artistic exploration. The program views art as a way for children to understand the world, express ideas, and build confidence rather than simply learning to draw. Using a proprietary 108-Color System, UBABY Color integrates art with science, geography, history, astronomy, biology, music, and critical thinking. Its structured, research-driven curriculum offers a consistent and engaging learning experience that does not rely solely on individual teaching styles. UBABY Color is launching its first North American flagship campus in Upland, California, to build a community where children can explore, create, and grow.

Role Description The Teaching Assistant role at UBABY Color is a part-time, on-site position based at the Upland, CA campus. In this role, the Teaching Assistant supports lead instructors in delivering the art and creativity curriculum, helping to prepare materials, set up classrooms, and guide children through activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with lesson implementation, providing individualized support to students, encouraging positive classroom behavior, and maintaining a safe and welcoming learning environment. The Teaching Assistant also helps with student arrival and dismissal procedures, collaborates with staff to ensure smooth class transitions, and may assist with basic administrative tasks such as attendance and classroom organization.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Assistant Teaching and Education to support instructional activities and curriculum delivery.
  • Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with children, families, and team members.
  • Comfort with Mathematics to assist with age-appropriate learning activities when needed.
  • Experience Working With Children, especially in educational or enrichment settings.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in fostering creativity and independent thinking in young learners.
  • Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Availability to work part-time on-site in Upland, CA, including potential afternoon, evening, or weekend hours.
  • Previous experience in early childhood or K–8 education, or relevant coursework, is preferred.
