Tea Room Server

Garden Tea room on 4th Street

Albuquerque, NM โ€ข On-site

$8 - $22/hr

Part-time

Posted 4 days ago

Job description

Waitstaff / Tea Room Server Albuquerque's garden tea room on 4th Street | Albuquerque, NM $8.00/hour + shared tips | Part-Time/Full-time | Thursday–Sunday, 10am–5pm Fridays up to 8pm off on Mon, Tue & Wed.

About Us  Albuquerque's Garden Tea Room on 4th — a warm, locally owned tea room and boutique run by two best friends. We serve afternoon tea by reservation, carry 100+ tea varieties, and specialize in specialty chocolates in a cozy, garden-inspired space at 5939 4th Street NW. We're not a chain. We're your neighbors — and we take great pride in the experience we create for every guest who walks through our door.

The Role We're looking for a server who genuinely loves making people feel special. Our guests plan their visits in advance — birthdays, anniversaries, girls' days out — and they're counting on us to deliver something memorable. If you're the kind of person who lights up when you walk into a room and finds real joy in hospitality, we want to meet you.

Attitude is everything here. Skills can be taught. Heart can't.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare for service each morning: review reservations, set tables, fold napkins, polish silverware and tea pots, and fill service stations
  • Greet and escort guests, explain the menu tableside, and ensure every table feels attended and cared for
  • Refill water and tea, acknowledge special occasions, and check in throughout the meal
  • Present checks, collect payment, and invite guests to come back
  • Close out the dining room: wipe menus, change tablecloths, clean dining areas, restrooms, and outdoor patio
  • Pitch in wherever the team needs you — we share responsibility for everything

Physical duties are a regular part of this role. You'll be on your feet for your full shift.

What We're Looking For

  • A warm, bubbly, outgoing personality — this is the most important thing
  • A genuine desire to serve and make guests feel welcomed and valued
  • Someone who thrives working alongside others and brings good energy to the team every day
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual
  • Available Thursday through Sunday — weekend availability is non-negotiable
  • Must be over 21
  • Dependable above all else

Tea service experience is a plus but not required. Full training provided.
