First State is community bank headquartered in Middlebury, Indiana. We have branch offices in Goshen, Elkhart and South Bend. We take the term "Community Bank" to heart. Right now, we are looking for aFull-Time Teller with the ability and desire to learn new Accounts Duties in our Goshen Office located in downtown Goshen, Indiana.Along with being a teller the majority of the time, we will need you to help out our team by learning New Accounts duties so you can assist our customers with their questions.


Here are things that you would do during your work day:


  • Provide friendly, caring customer service
  • Utilize technology to help you and our customers
  • Follow instructions and procedures set out by the Bank
  • Develop an understanding of our Bank's products and services
  • Count money accurately
  • Learn new skills such as new systems and procedures



And here are some skills that you will need:


  • Friendly personality, positive attitude and professional image
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • We really are looking for someone with New Accounts experience in the Banking Industry
  • Ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds and age groups
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Reliable transportation (we need you to be here when you are scheduled unless you are sick :))
  • Willingness and ability to adjust to a change in work schedule with adequate notice
  • Ability to successfully complete our in-house training program
