Job description

Job Title: Software EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of advanced simulation and training systems used in complex aerospace and defense environments. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge software solutions involving real-time simulation, avionics integration, distributed systems, and immersive training technologies. The ideal candidate is a strong C/C++ developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and building high-performance applications in Linux and Windows environments. This position is based onsite in Orlando, Florida and may require domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications and simulation systems.
  • Implement new features and capabilities based on customer and program requirements.
  • Modify and improve existing software components and architectures.
  • Participate in software design, implementation, integration, and testing activities.
  • Develop and execute unit tests and support verification and validation efforts.
  • Document software designs, test results, and technical solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with systems, hardware, modeling & simulation, and test engineering teams.
  • Support software configuration management and development processes.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and problem-solving efforts.
  • Maintain project schedules and provide status updates on assigned work.
  • Support customer demonstrations, integration activities, and deployment efforts as required.
  • Travel domestically and internationally in support of program activities.
Essential Skills
  • Strong experience with C and C++.
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience, or equivalent project experience with demonstrable portfolio examples.
  • Experience with object-oriented software design and development.
  • Experience working with unmanaged programming languages.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Experience working from requirements and technical specifications.
  • Experience using source control and configuration management tools.
  • Understanding of software architecture and design principles.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.

  • U.S. Person status required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00/hr.
