Job Title: Cook - Grill
Job Description

The Grill Cook accurately and efficiently prepares, portions, grills, and presents a variety of hot and cold food items for multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. This role ensures high-quality food production, consistent presentation, and a clean, well-organized work area while following all food handling and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, portion, and grill a variety of hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events.
  • Cook meals to order, following established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Perform food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients in advance of service.
  • Set up, operate, and break down the grill and related cooking stations at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Ensure all food items are cooked and held at proper temperatures and are served in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, including grill stations, prep areas, and storage spaces.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment as needed to support continuous kitchen operations.
  • Follow food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures at all times to meet health and safety standards.
  • Assist with general kitchen cleaning and janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and removing trash.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and smooth service during busy periods.
  • Monitor inventory levels at the station and communicate shortages or needs to the appropriate team members.
