Senior Tax Accountant
Finance Department
Position Summary:
The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for accounting tasks associated with the maintenance and preparation of tax records and tax returns.
Outline of duties:
  • Prepares federal, state, and/or local income and property tax returns and related statements. Maintains records of tax filings.
  • Calculate quarterly tax provision and deferred tax balances.
  • Recommends financial actions that may lessen SIA's tax liability to meet company goals while maintaining compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Prepares periodic reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) for internal Finance and external SIA purposes.
  • Coordinates tax matters with other departments.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Initiates and performs special projects.
  • Applies critical thinking to solve dynamic problems.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required plus 5+ years relevant experience
  • CPA
  • Experience with MS Office applications

Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required plus 7+ years relevant experience
  • Experience at a public accounting firm
  • SAP experience
