Job description

Are you passionate about wine and enjoy providing an exceptional customer experience? Pur Noire is an urban winery and tasting room located in the heart of Dallas and we are looking for an Assistant MGR & Wine Club Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a strong background in wine, customer service, and sales. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing employees in a tasting room or a sales setting. They will be comfortable working with little oversight and performing wine tastings when needed. They will also ensure that the tasting room is properly open and closed daily.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervises tasting room, and event operations at the direction of the General Manager
  • Maintains equipment, supplies, and inventory list
  • Processes reservations and advance registration payments.
  • Inspects facility for cleanliness
  • Answers patrons' complaints and resolves problems
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    • Manages a team of 4 to 6 tasting room associates
    • Motivates team to reach sales and service goals
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies
  • Manage day-to-day functions of our wine club, including membership enrollment, wine shipments, and communication with members
  • Develop and execute wine club events and promotions to increase membership and drive sales
  • Act as the main point of contact for wine club members, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns
  • Provide wine tastings for customers in our tasting room, educating them on our wines and winery
  • Collaborate with the sales team to increase wine club sales and develop new sales strategies
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases of wine club members and their purchases
Qualifications:
  • One year of experience managing a tasting room or similar sales and service-based management experience.
  • 1 years of experience in a wine club or wine-related customer service & sales role
  • Strong knowledge of wine and wine production
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to build relationships
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Comfortable standing for long periods.
