Job Summary
The Transcript Specialist II position is responsible for but not limited to:
  • Processing and issuing transcript requests both electronically and paper, including mail orders from other institutions, individual students and through Parchment.
  • Answering incoming calls to the department, assisting with transcript inquiries for current and former students, assists with ordering transcripts, and process for ordering unofficial transcripts, determining if transcripts have been received from other schools, answering all general questions regarding transcripts; assisting special investigators, employers, and other colleges with transcript inquiries, background checks, degree verifications, etc.
  • Managing departmental email, including processing and issuing transcripts, corresponding with other departments to assist in distribution of information in regards to transcripts.
  • Retrieve records from the vault and scan into document Imaging, scanning for Admissions as requested.
  • Issue course descriptions as requested
  • File records in vault after completion of document imaging process
  • Assist walk-in student's with requests for transcripts, general questions, etc.
  • Other duties as required by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Excellent computer skills
3. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills
4. Positive attitude

6. Ability to multi-task
7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Windows Office
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field
2. Experience in a higher education environment
3. Experience in student services
4. Knowledge of Datatel student management system
