Job description

What Your Day Will Look Like:
The Transportation Project Manager will lead the delivery of roadway projects from conceptual design through preliminary, intermediate, and final design phases to construction. You`ll manage a team of engineers and designers in all aspects of design and plan preparation for roadway, highway, and civil improvement projects for State, City, and County agencies.
What You'll Do:
β€’ Plan, direct and manage transportation projects, overseeing all aspects of multi-disciplinary transportation planning projects across the region.
β€’ Provide superior client service through quality management, technical excellence, responsiveness, and production management of design plans and specifications, reports and analyses
β€’ Prepare scope, schedule, and budgets for projects and task orders
β€’ Develop and present complex technical solutions to clients, demonstrating innovative problem-solving abilities
β€’ Oversee the planning and design for roadway, Bridge and traffic engineering projects
β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes
β€’ Assist in business development and proposal efforts with local municipal, state, and private clients
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences or a closely related field
  • 8 years of experience in transportation project management
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex roadway/highway projects
  • Understands transportation design software, including OpenRoads and MicroStation
  • Strong knowledge of transportation industry standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with experience in client-facing roles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
