Job description

We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Operations Manager in Boston.
About DO & CO:
We have a passion for hospitality culinary delights on every banquet floor and in the sky. With the three business segments of Airline Catering, International Event Catering, and Restaurants, Lounges & Hotels, we offer gourmet entertainment all over the world. We operate in 33 locations, 12 countries and 3 Continents, maintaining the highest standard of quality in both our products and services. We refine the classics, develop the unknown and grow constantly - sometimes beyond our own expectations.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage Team, Fleet, ramp safety, dispatching and ensure the transportation department is complaint with all airline, Airports, ports and all other applicable rules/regulations. Implement process/compliant improvements as needed. Distribute all incoming operational information to the affected departments and ensure the effective dispatch of all flights with accurate specifications. Communicate with production departments to ensure that the exceptional DO & CO quality is maintained at its highest level with maximum efficiency in accordance with DO & CO standards as set by the Quality Assurance team.
  • Plan, forecast, schedule and communicate transportation activities with dispatch as needed. Supervise, motivate, and assist a large team of drivers, driver helpers.
  • Review and enhance transportation policies and ensure adherence to safety measures. Ensure all vehicles are in working condition. Report and reconcile any malfunctions immediately. (i.e. compliance, fueling, maintenance). Ensures OSHA compliance, Safe Program, & DOT standards/training are met
  • Draft and Implement departmental policies and procedures and set related training plans. Monitor transport cost and create related reports as requested by the management Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership transportation experience preferably within food manufacturing.
  • Proficient computer skills (Particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.

  • Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
