Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Assessment Analyst PTOC
Quantico, VA
The MAGTF Assessment Analyst reports to and receives work direction from the Corps Solutions MSTP Project Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead development and refinement of exercise scenarios aligned with current and emerging operational concepts, plans, and guidance.
  • Oversee creation and management of exercise planning POA&Ms, briefs, integrated collection plans, and supporting materials across the exercise lifecycle.
  • Possess detailed and functional knowledge of the Marine Corps and joint/combined planning processes, Marine Corps and joint doctrine related to Intel, joint targeting process, joint Air Tasking Order process, joint Theater Air-Ground System, and Marine Corps Aviation Command and Control System.
  • Conduct tactical and operational planning at the conceptual, functional, and detailed levels for service and functional component and joint headquarters organizations.
  • Assist government counterparts in the instruction and training of designated staffs in the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) and evaluation of operations orders produced by Training Audiences, including Warfighting Seminars and PPAs.
  • Perform Observer Trainer Collector (OTC) duties in support of MSTP exercises.
  • Lead support to ELC/JELC events and culminating activities (e.g., FINEX), ensuring effective preparation, execution, FAAR delivery, and post-event reporting.
  • Observe, coach, and mentor MAGTF and JTFHQ planners at tactical and operational levels, providing expert doctrinal guidance and senior-level feedback.
  • Assist in reviewing classified material for use in exercise events, modeling and simulation, demonstrations, reports, and briefings.
  • Contribute to Marine Corps and joint doctrine, TTPs, FAARs, and best-practice publications.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum three years of experience in military training and education. Attendance at Intermediate Level School, such as Marine Corps CSC, or completion of equivalent nonresident course is required. Completion of Advanced ILS/TLS and attendance at SAW or NWC is preferred.

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum eight years of operational experience in deployment and employment of ground combat, aviation, supporting arms, or combat service support units, related equipment and C2 methods and systems
  • Minimum five years of MEF level command element experience at the senior field grade equivalent level, including principal staff planning across multiple joint warfighting functions.
  • Minimum three years of demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the operational command level.

CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Able to design and write clear communications and present training programs.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills required. Proficient in the entire suite of MS Office and able to quickly learn additional systems. Familiarity with SharePoint and C2PC is desired.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
  • Daily travel in local area during workday (including use of personal vehicle)
  • Able to work a flexible or non-standard schedule, to include holidays and weekends.

SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS
  • Possess current U.S. government passport.
  • CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required for up to three weeks at a time (or longer).
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.

SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • A Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required.

ESTIMATED COMPENSATION
  • $70,000-$170,000
