Dietary Aide / Culinary Aide to help us deliver outstanding culinary services to our residents.

Your Role as a Dietary Aide / Culinary Aide:

At Poplar Hill Health and Rehab, our Dietary Aides / Culinary Aides provides essential care to our residents by:

  • Assists on tray line and food preparation as necessary.

  • Stores food and supplies with proper labels for current and future use.

  • Cleans and maintains assigned equipment and work areas, including walls and ceilings, ensuring sanitary conditions.

  • Performs routine housekeeping tasks such as dishwashing, garbage disposal and sweeping or mopping.

  • Follows procedures outlined in Dietary Management Systems pertaining to the handling of all foods.

  • Performs all tasks and duties in an essential and safe way.

What You Need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Basic cooking skills and willingness to learn Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments

  • Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions
