Job Overview:

The Business Transient Sales Manager is responsible for generating and managing corporate transient room revenue for the hotel. This role focuses on building relationships with local and national businesses, identifying new opportunities, negotiating corporate rate agreements, and ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional service to business travelers.

Key Responsibilities-

Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to target corporate travel accounts and achieve revenue goals.
  • Identify, solicit, and secure new business transient accounts while maintaining relationships with existing accounts.
  • Negotiate and manage corporate rate agreements, ensuring profitability and competitiveness in the market.
  • Monitor and analyze transient business trends and adjust strategies accordingly.

Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business transient accounts, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Conduct regular site visits, presentations, and account reviews with key clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and account details in CRM systems.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with the revenue management team to ensure optimal pricing and availability strategies for transient business.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeting business travelers.
  • Provide feedback and market intelligence to the hotel leadership team to enhance guest experiences for corporate travelers.

Reporting & Administration:

  • Prepare regular reports on transient sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Participate in weekly sales and revenue meetings to discuss strategies and progress toward goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures related to sales operations.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience-

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of hotel sales experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior sales role.
  • Demonstrated success in leading a sales team and achieving revenue goals.
  • Experience managing multiple market segments and high-value accounts.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and close new business.
  • High level of proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Delphi, Opera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel for meetings, site visits, and trade shows.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on client or hotel needs.
  • Ability to walk the property for tours and inspections.
