About the role
This is not a traditional sales role. This role is expected to generate a significant portion of its own pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
We are hiring two Founding Account Executives - AI Solutions who can drive revenue, own customer outcomes, and help shape how AI is deployed in real-world customer operations.
You will be responsible for selling Retention Express's omnichannel AI customer engagement platform, while staying close to the customer to ensure success, adoption, and long-term value.
What you'll do
Revenue Generation & Sales Execution
✓ Own the full sales cycle: outbound prospecting, discovery, demo, proposal, and close
✓ Sell consultative AI customer engagement solutions that deliver measurable operational and financial outcomes
✓ Build and manage a pipeline of SMB and Mid-Market businesses across membership, subscription, automotive, home services, healthcare, legal, property management, and other high-volume consumer service industries
✓ Identify customer pain points and position solutions tied to ROI, cost savings, and revenue impact
Solutioning & Customer Engagement
✓ Translate real-world operational challenges into AI + human solutions
✓ Collaborate with internal teams to design tailored customer playbooks
✓ Communicate technical and operational value to business and non-technical stakeholders
Post-Sale Ownership & Expansion
✓ Stay engaged post-sale to ensure successful onboarding and adoption
✓ Participate in periodic AI quality reviews to ensure customer conversations reflect brand objectives
✓ Identify upsell and expansion opportunities across accounts
Build & Improve the Sales Motion
✓ Contribute to refining messaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategy
✓ Provide feedback from the field to improve product, positioning, and onboarding
✓ Help build scalable sales playbooks as we grow
Qualifications
We're Excited About You Because You...
✓ 2-5 years of experience in SaaS sales, Telecom, CCaaS, or BPO environments
✓ Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline, close deals, and hit or exceed targets
✓ Demonstrated ability to sell complex or consultative solutions with multiple stakeholders
✓ Strong understanding of subscription-based business models and customer experience operations
✓ Ability to quickly learn and sell technical solutions (AI, automation, CX tools)
✓ Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred (Not Required)
✓ Experience selling AI solutions, automation tools, SaaS, enterprise software, or call center technology
✓ Familiarity with Zendesk, Freshdesk, or omni-channel customer support platforms
✓ Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and activity tracking within Salesforce, Pipedrive, GHL, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms
✓ Exposure to SMB to Mid-Market or growth stage customers
✓ Experience in startup or scale-up environments

Compensation & Incentives
✓ Base Salary: $55,000-$75,000
✓ Uncapped Commission Structure tied to Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)
✓ On-Target Earnings: $120,000-$140,000+
✓ Additional incentives tied to new revenue closed and account expansion
Employment Status: This is a full-time exempt position.
At-Will Employment: Employment with Retention Express is at-will.
Commission: Commission eligibility and payouts are governed by the company's written compensation plan.
