Job description

Tanknology, a fast-growing leader in the petroleum services industry, is looking for experienced, energetic, hardworking Light Duty Construction Technician in Columbus, OH. The Light Duty Construction Technician assist in the installation of fueling systems including: Installing underground and aboveground tanks, installing fuel dispensers, cleaning and replacing spill containment systems, busting and removal of concrete, piping, electrical wiring, excavating, and other petroleum related work.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct work on construction projects, concrete removal and replacement, manhole and spill containment replacements
  • Framing, pouring, mixing, and finishing small portions of concrete
  • Operate equipment such as company work truck, skid steers, forklift, man-lift following all equipment and company safety protocols
  • Ensure safe housekeeping practices are followed at all times, including job cleanup at the end of each day
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure all are in proper and safe working order
  • Verify accuracy and compliance of tasks in progress to comply with codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements
  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain a timely flow of supplies, materials and sub-contractor work

What We Are Looking For:
  • Class A&B UST License a huge plus
  • Previous experience installing petroleum systems or performing fuel polishing. (REQUIRED)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in construction or trades is required - Concrete experience is a huge plus
  • Class A CDL and Heavy equipment operation experience is preferred. Will assist in getting Class A CDL.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is a huge PLUS
  • Troubleshooting skills/logical problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and customer relations skills

Other Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)
  • Pass Background check, drug test and DOT card (required)
