Role Overview:

The primary responsibilities of this position include pressure testing tanks, draining and drying out tanks, repairing and replacing valves, and ensuring that tank container valves, gaskets, and gauges function properly to ensure the safe transportation of products

Position Responsibilities:

  • Pressure testing tanks, draining and drying out tanks, repairing and replacing valves, and ensuring that tank container valves, gaskets, and gauges function properly to ensure the safe transportation of products
  • The essential functions of the job include repairing and maintaining tank containers using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments,
  • Observing and listening to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues.
  • Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts, lubricating and cleaning parts, operating lathe, drill press, grinders, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred candidates will also have a current forklift certification
  • Candidates will possess a mechanical background.
  • Be able to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks and enclosed spaces also inside of tanks.
  • Have worked in an industrial setting
