Job description

What We Are Looking For
Primary purpose:
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operations and maintenance of equipment within the assigned crude oil tank farm.

What You Will Do
Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Surveillance, operations and maintenance of crude oil facilities including tanks, pumps and valves.
  • Follow all EHS procedures and practices
  • Be able to identify safety hazards
  • Maintain good standing with all required training
  • Participate in pipeline public awareness programs and emergency drills
  • Respond to emergencies such as spills, outages, power failures, etc.
  • Launch and receive pipeline scraper pigs
  • Maintain, repair, and operate valves and pumps
  • Assist with regulatory audits
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need
Minimum requirements:
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience / specific knowledge:
  • Must have completed at least one (1) year at Pipeline Operator/Tank farm operator or industry equivalent

Certifications, licenses, registrations:
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by the company and a current, valid State driver's license
  • Subject to random drug testing
  • Must pass applicable OQ tasks as required

Competencies, skills, and abilities:
  • Proficient with assigned core computer programs
  • Follow work procedures independently on less routine tasks or more complex equipment/processes
  • Ability to work from written or verbal instructions
  • Ability to properly prioritize tasks
  • Identify problems
  • Have the ability to train others
  • Ability to speak and understand English.
  • Ability to work with others, takes direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, and follow work rules.

Physical demands:
  • Primarily outside work
  • Frequently lift and carry, unassisted, items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Walking, climbing, standing, and sitting
  • Some inside work for training, working on computer
