Job description


Function: Oversees the safe and efficient operation of tank storage in the Terminal facilities. Supervise crews during tank cleaning, removal, installation, and site remediation, ensuring compliance with safety regulations like OSHA.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and supervise a team of operators who control and monitor transfers of the various bulk liquid chemicals stored and handled at the facility.
•Coordinate and supervise product transfers to and from tanks, trucks, and pipelines (direct movements).
•Physically control and monitor all terminal movements.
•Physically control and monitor the terminal's utility systems. Interpret computer-based inventory control and order management systems and distribute the daily workload among the Operations team.
•Manage all quality control equipment calibration: thermometers, measurement tapes, hydrometers, etc.

•When necessary, verify automated tank gauging systems. Coordinate and interface with customer representatives and surveyors.
•Coordinate product movements from the tank farm.
•Play a key role in responding to terminal emergencies such as spills and fire.

•Participates in operations, inventory, safety and communication meetings.
•Participates in incident investigations and takes action to prevent recurrence.
•Ensures environmental policies and practices are followed and all spills are properly reported.

•Asist in procurement activities, delegated buyer and financial entries such as invoices, purchase requisitions and purchase order creation.

Experience:

• High School diploma, minimum two years of college or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in airport operations (preferably)
• Availability to travel within Puerto Rico & USVI.
Qualifications:
• OSHA and EPA Regulations Knowledge (Preferred)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airports and customs badges/seals.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays if required.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates customer relationship skills; including ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees from field to corporate executives.
• Should possess solid problem solving, multi-tasking abilities and experience in the handling of flight operations.
• Computer and experience with Microsoft Office programs required.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
