Job description

Join Our Team as a Mobile Veterinary Technician!

Are you a passionate veterinary technician looking to make a meaningful impact on pets and their families? Tandem, a fast-growing veterinary practice, is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our clinical team serving the Boston area. As a Mobile Veterinary Technician , you’ll help deliver high-quality veterinary care directly from our mobile clinic, where clients bring their pets to us all over Boston.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples for our referance laboratory

  • Run in-house tests utilizing microscope skills

  • Assist with preventive care exams, minor sick appintments, and technician-run appointments

  • Safely and effectively restrain animals using Fear Free–aligned techniques

  • Provide client education and clear, informative communication during appointments

  • Administer medications and monitor patient vitals

  • Support veterinarians by preparing equipment and maintaining efficient clinic flow

  • Maintain accurate medical records and assist with general patient care

  • Be comfortable working with technology and communicating across platforms

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • (Optional) Drive and care for the mobile veterinary van , including routine maintenance checks— eligible for a stipend plus bonus for those who take on this responsibility!

Required Skills

  • At least 1 year of experiance in a veterinary clinic

  • Proficiency in venipuncture, lab testing, and microscopy

  • Strong animal restraint abilities

  • Ability to run independent technician appointments

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in client education

  • Motivated, self-starting, and able to work independently in a mobile clinic environment

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Commitment to Fear Free practices and low-stress handling

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Registered or Certified Veterinary Technician (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience in a mobile or fast-paced clinic setting

  • Triage experience

  • Knowledge of current animal care best practices

  • Comfort adapting to different parking locations and client flow patterns

Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive pay structure ranging from $25- $35 Per hour, based on experience. We are open to discussing salaries with experianced candidates.
