You will coordinate evaluation of required modifications needed to support uprate power levels (i.e. replacement of important components such as pumps, motors, heat exchangers). A working knowledge of the thermal cycle at a power plant is required. Previous experience on uprate or similar large-scale projects.

You will report to the Manager of Projects. This is a remote position and may require being onsite at plants during projects. Periodic travel to client sites will also be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the project manager in driving safe and event-free, first-time quality project delivery including maintaining the schedule, tracking and projecting financials, logging all project details, and active management with internal and external communications. Develop and implement recovery plans when projects are off-track.
  • You will be an important technical contact with clients, suppliers, sub-vendors, and our teams, including senior Westinghouse leadership for all project related communications
  • Coordinate development of technical responses to issues. Manage teams of engineers to prioritize and evaluate technical challenges and design solutions to issues.
  • Cultivate relationships with team members, customers, and other partners (e.g., internal management) in a matrix environment to facilitate successful project completion and identify opportunities for additional business growth.
  • You will implement mitigating actions for risks throughout entire project lifecycle and look for cost-sharing opportunities with clients.
  • Present monthly project review meetings with Westinghouse executive management.
  • Present scheduled client status meetings (quarterly) with senior leadership representation from Westinghouse and the client.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required in the fields of: Engineering, Science, or Construction Management.
