About the Role:

Ready to launch your career in banking and learn the ins and outs of loan servicing? We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Loan Support Specialist I to join our team! This is an excellent entry-level opportunity where you'll receive hands-on training, build foundational knowledge, and grow your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with a variety of teams, and developing new skills, this role is a great place to start.
The Loan Support Specialist I supports the servicing of consumer, small business, SBA, and commercial loans in a high-volume environment with established deadlines. This role focuses on learning and performing core loan servicing tasks, following established procedures, and building knowledge of loan products, documentation, and regulations. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners while developing the skills needed to grow within Loan Operations.

  • Perform key loan servicing tasks such as:

    • Loan maintenance and updates

    • Payment processing

    • Data entry

    • Loan document preparation

    • Escrow and tax support

    • Basic reconciliations and support tasks

  • Process loan-related transactions following established workflows, policies, and procedures

  • Provide timely, professional support to internal partners and external customers

  • Accurately complete work within assigned deadlines and communicate status updates as needed

  • Track and support basic reporting metrics to help monitor team workflow

  • Collaborate with team members and assist where needed in a high-volume environment

  • Participate in training and cross-training opportunities to expand knowledge across Loan Support functions

  • Actively learn and apply loan servicing concepts, systems, and compliance requirements

  • Follow all Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable regulations

  • Contribute to a positive team culture by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and a willingness to learn

  • Support continuous improvement efforts and share ideas to enhance processes

  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

AboutYou:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Thepayrange for this role is $18.00 - $30.00 an hour.

The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
