Job description

The Relationship Management Manager will lead a team of Wholesale Relationship Managers and will have responsibility for assigned portfolio performance and YMFUS service levels. All efforts will be led by the Dealer Profit Maximization (DPM) principle and will include: maximizing order flow, response to escalated service requests, ensure dealers have adequate credit lines, oversee collection of amounts due, monitor collateral exceptions, proactively identify risk and collaborate with YMFUS leadership on growth and service opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
  • Lead a team of Wholesale Relationship Managers - Hire, manage, motivate, evaluate and develop staff on portfolio control and risk management operations of the wholesale finance portfolio.
  • Responsible for oversight of individually assigned portfolio as well as assigned portfolios of direct reports. Oversight includes all customer service and collection activity.
  • Responsible for oversight of daily AR adjustments, recoding of status items, overlines, unit transfers and other transactions within team and individually assigned portfolios, ensuring that submissions are JSOX compliant
  • Responsible for bringing troubled accounts to resolution through either liquidation, rehabilitation or charge-off within assigned portfolios
  • Partner with the Legal Department and Risk Group to assign accounts out for repossession and/or debt recovery
  • Assist in the development of departmental procedures and recommend changes or improvements to drive business results
  • Develop and implement key account strategy with goal of growing business across the YMUS and YMFUS organizations.
  • Assist with the development and on-going training of Wholesale Finance team members
  • Represent the YMFUS wholesale group at dealer events and sales meetings exemplifying the YMFUS values at all times
  • The position will have great autonomy to manage the assigned portfolio, with some oversight from the Senior Portfolio Manager. This role will have direct management of key accounts within the assigned portfolio as well as an estimated 3-4 direct reports (and their respective portfolios).
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or accounting preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial finance, preferably within the wholesale finance industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Prior experience managing troubled and/or problem accounts a plus
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven track record of providing excellent customer service
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral & written
