As we expand our clinical footprint across multiple states, we are seeking a driven, results-oriented BCBA Recruiter & Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in California. If you have deep expertise in the ABA talent landscape and a proven ability to identify and attract the nation’s top BCBAs, this is your role.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

As our BCBA Recruiter & Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will own the full recruitment lifecycle for BCBA talent across multiple states. You will build pipelines, engage passive candidates, leverage every available platform, and deliver the top clinical talent we need to thrive.

Role Overview
  • Execute end-to-end recruitment for BCBA positions across multiple states, from sourcing through offer negotiation and onboarding handoff.
  • Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of BCBA candidates, engaging top professionals before positions open.
  • Partner with clinical leadership, directors, and center managers to understand hiring needs, culture fit requirements, and compensation expectations.
Multi-Platform Sourcing Strategy
  • Execute multi-channel sourcing strategies leveraging LinkedIn Recruiter, BACB Certificant Registry, ABA-specific job boards and professional associations (ABAI, FABA, and regional chapters).
  • Utilize Boolean search mastery, InMail campaign strategy, and talent insight reporting to identify and engage high-quality BCBA candidates at scale.
  • Leverage social and community sourcing channels including Facebook groups, Reddit ABA communities, Discord servers, and regional networking events and conferences.
Pipeline & Relationship Development
  • Develop and manage long-term relationships with BCBA graduate programs, internship supervisors, and university career offices to build early-career talent pipelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized candidate pipeline within ATS and CRM platforms, ensuring consistent tracking, follow-up, and requisition management at scale.
  • Represent Applied ABC at ABA conferences, professional events, and university career fairs to build brand visibility and candidate interest.
Data, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
  • Implement and report on data-driven recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, source-of-hire analysis, and pipeline conversion.
  • Present insights and talent market intelligence to executive leadership to inform workforce planning decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in recruiting processes, candidate experience, and employer branding efforts.
Compensation & Employer Branding
  • Negotiate competitive, multi-state compensation packages aligned with market data, factoring in licensure requirements, caseload complexity, and specialty populations.
  • Collaborate on employer branding initiatives that position Applied ABC as the premier destination for BCBA professionals nationwide.
  • Stay current on BCBA licensure requirements, salary benchmarks, and hiring trends across all active recruiting markets.
What Sets You Apart
  • 2+ years of specialized BCBA recruitment experience, with a demonstrated track record of filling high-volume and hard-to-fill roles in competitive markets.
  • Multi-state recruiting experience across two or more of the following: FL, TX, NY, NJ, MA, CA, HI or comparable markets.
  • Expert-level proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, BACB Certificant Registry, and ABA-specific job boards.
  • Strong understanding of BCBA certification, supervision requirements, and clinical career progression.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and candidate relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in HR, Psychology, or a related field a plus.
  • Active professional network within ABAI, FABA, or state-level ABA associations preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus
