Job description

THE POSITION

The Talent Acquisition Specialist’s role is to support hiring managers in attracting and identifying top talent while managing college recruitment initiatives. The individual will focus on proactive sourcing and talent pipeline management, ensuring a healthy flow of candidates. They will collaborate with business leaders to understand internal staffing needs and succession planning, aligning recruiting efforts with organizational goals. They will focus on continual improvement and training of the recruiting process within the divisions they support.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Utilize various sourcing channels to source candidates and connect them with hiring managers
  • Utilize and maintain information in the Applicant Tracking System to efficiently manage applicants
  • Continually assess and track market trends to stay current with best practices of recruiting efforts
  • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, conduct pre-employment assessments, present offer letters and transition new employees into the onboarding process
  • Act as a subject matter expert in guiding and training leaders towards effective interviewing strategies
  • Collaborate with the Director of Employee Development and business leaders to understand succession plans, bench needs, and readiness of team members for internal promotions
  • Coordinate college recruiting events and promote the Internship and Management Training programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience
  • Self-starter who works well independently and thrives in a team environment working collaboratively
  • Ability to build trusting, long-lasting relationships and enjoys networking and supporting people
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possess intellectual curiosity and desire for continuous learning
  • Innovative problem solver who thinks logically as well as creatively
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Tech savvy, strong business acumen, research, and administrative skills
