Location: Parsippany NJ (Hybrid)
Summary
The Associate Director of Talent Acquisition supports the strategic direction and daily operations of the Talent Acquisition function by partnering with business leaders to attract, hire, and retain top talent across the organization. This role provides leadership to recruiters and Talent Acquisition team members, drives recruitment initiatives, and helps develop scalable hiring strategies that support organizational growth. The Associate Director works closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition to improve recruiting processes, strengthen employer branding, analyze recruiting metrics, and ensure a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Director of Talent Acquisition to execute the organization's recruiting strategy and workforce planning initiatives
  • Lead, coach, and develop Talent Acquisition team members, providing guidance on recruiting best practices, sourcing strategies, and candidate management
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt, leadership, and other critical positions as needed
  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruiting plans
  • Monitor recruiting performance metrics, including time-to-fill, quality of hire, source effectiveness, and recruiter productivity
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, workflows, and candidate experience
  • Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies utilizing job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and direct sourcing techniques
  • Support employer branding initiatives, recruitment marketing campaigns, career fairs, and community outreach events
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, affirmative action requirements, and company hiring policies
  • Assist with vendor management, including job boards, background screening providers, staffing agencies, and recruiting technology partners
  • Partner with HR leadership to support succession planning and internal mobility initiatives
  • Assist with the implementation and optimization of applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies
  • Prepare recruiting reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership
  • Support onboarding initiatives to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee
  • Stay current on labor market trends, recruiting best practices, and emerging talent acquisition technologies

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including experience recruiting professional and leadership-level positions
  • 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or supervising recruiting team members preferred
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruiting, sourcing strategies, and employment laws
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruiting technologies
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting recruiting metrics and workforce data
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and relationship-building abilities
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience supporting high-volume, multi-location recruiting environments preferred
