Job description

WHO IS HUDSON ROUGE?

Hudson Rouge is an integrated luxury boutique marketing and communications agency within WPP that works solely on luxury brands and is the exclusive agency of record for the Lincoln Motor Company business across all channels. We combine brand strategy, media strategy, activation, digital, social, earned media, production, and analytics to provide exquisitely crafted creativity. We are a small group of people, spread across several offices -- New York, Detroit, Shanghai, Toronto, Mexico City -- and we care for each other as much as we care for our clients. We are an agency that prides itself on creating irrational desire for luxury brands, and we look for uniquely talented people who are excited about doing their best work and want to grow with us.

The Role: Marketing Reporting Analyst

What you'll do:

We are seeking a detail-oriented marketing reporting analyst to join our Marketing Analytics team. This person will serve as the reporting and data expert within the analytics function - responsible for the analysis and reporting of marketing performance data across all channels. You will produce reports, scope and support analyses, and build data visualizations that help our teams and clients understand how marketing is performing, providing the essential feedback loop that informs strategic recommendations. Working closely with senior analysts and cross-functional partners, you will scope reporting needs, source data from multiple platforms, and build clear, accurate views of consumer, campaign, and channel performance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning messy data into clean, reliable insights, takes pride in accuracy and consistency, and wants to grow their technical skills within a collaborative team supporting a Fortune 100 automotive client.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Marketing Performance Reporting: Produce recurring and ad hoc reports that measure the performance of paid, owned, and earned media across all marketing channels, including but not limited to organic social, paid social, display, television, online video, offline, and all other active channels.
  • Campaign Analysis: Develop ad hoc analyses during and after campaigns to assess marketing performance, surface key trends, and provide timely insights to senior team members and clients.
  • Data Visualization & Dashboard Development: Create and maintain views in visualization tools such as PowerBI and Excel. Ability to build reporting outputs in more advanced environments like R Studio or Databricks is a plus.
  • Source System Navigation: Work within marketing source systems such as Adobe Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Google Marketing Platform, CRM platforms, and others to extract, validate, and integrate data for reporting purposes.
  • Data Environment Management: Navigate complex, fragmented data environments with many stakeholders. Source and integrate data from multiple systems to deliver complete, accurate reports even when data is messy or inconsistently structured.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with clients and internal teams to scope reporting requirements, understand business questions, and develop custom views that address specific marketing performance needs.
  • Report Distribution & Standardization: Ensure reports are delivered on schedule and in consistent formats. Help establish and maintain reporting standards, templates, and documentation that enable the team to scale its reporting output.
  • Cross-Functional Learning: Work with partners across VML/WPP to learn available data environments, train within these systems, and expand the team's access to new data sources.
  • Measurement Support: Collaborate with senior team members to scope analyses, take direction on methodology, and contribute to the team's broader measurement and effectiveness work.

Who you are:

  • Reporting & Visualization: Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with at least one data visualization tool such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker Studio. Ability to build clean, well-organized reports that communicate performance clearly.
  • Marketing Platforms: Working familiarity with marketing source systems such as Adobe Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Google Marketing Platform (GA4, Campaign Manager, DV360), Sprinklr, or similar platforms.
  • Data Wrangling: Comfort working with messy, fragmented, or incomplete data. Ability to navigate across multiple data sources and stakeholders to piece together what's needed to deliver accurate reports.
  • Coding: Experience writing code in SQL, Python, or R in working with data. There is an expectation to develop and grow this skillset after hire through on-the-job learning and team support.
  • AI: Hands-on experience using AI to augment your data work. Major plus if you have some exposure in using tools like Claude Code to scale your analysis workflows.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to data accuracy, consistency, and quality. You double-check your numbers and take pride in delivering reports that people can trust.
  • Communication: Ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs, ask the right questions, and present findings in a clear, accessible way.
  • Curiosity & Growth Mindset: Willingness and ability to pick up new tools, technologies, and methods quickly. Eagerness to learn more advanced analytical techniques over time.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple concurrent reporting deliverables, meet deadlines, and maintain an organized workflow.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in reporting, analytics, data science, or a marketing operations role
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and at least one visualization or reporting tool (PowerBI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc.)
  • Experience working with marketing data platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Meta, CRM systems, etc.)
  • Experience exposure with AI to augment coding work and an eagerness to continue to stay up-to-date with technology and workflow advances.
  • Ability to work on-site in Detroit, MI or New York, NY
  • Automotive or agency experience is a plus
