Job Title: SQL Server Developer / Tableau Developer

Location: Plano, TX Onsite

Duration: 12+ Months W2 Contract

Experience level: 6+ years

Experienced SQL Server / Tableau Developer with strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, and Tableau. Consultant will be responsible for developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, data transformations, and interactive Tableau dashboards to support business reporting and analytics. Strong experience with data integration and ETL technologies is highly desirable, while MES/MOM and manufacturing domain experience will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL Server databases, queries, views, stored procedures, functions, and T-SQL scripts.
  • Design and develop interactive, scalable, and visually compelling Tableau dashboards and reports.
  • Translate business requirements into effective SQL queries, data models, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation across multiple data sources.
  • Optimize SQL queries and database processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Python, Databricks, or similar technologies.
  • Work closely with business users, data engineers, and technical teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Troubleshoot data quality, reporting, performance, and integration issues.
  • Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting.
  • Support Power BI reporting requirements when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing Tableau dashboards, visualizations, calculated fields, parameters, filters, and reports.
  • Experience with SQL query optimization, performance tuning, stored procedures, views, functions, and database development.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, joins, aggregations, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience working with ETL/data integration processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred / Secondary Skills

  • Experience with Power BI is a strong plus.
  • Experience with SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with Python for data processing and automation.
  • Experience with Databricks / Apache Spark and modern data engineering platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses.
  • Experience with data quality, governance, and reporting best practices.
