Job description

Job Title: Systems Administrator (Tableau Developer)

Location: Springfield, VA

Security Clearance: TS/SCI Required

We are seeking a Systems Administrator (Tableau Developer) who is a data visualization expert who combines strong technical skills in Tableau with the ability to support enterprise-level program reporting and Release Train Management (RTM). This individual will ensure Tableau is leveraged as a trusted source of insight for project, program, and agency-level leadership. The Systems Administrator (Tableau Developer) will Supervise and manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems, in this case, the Tableau data visualization software. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Provide assistance to users in accessing and using the system. The Contractor shall ensure of other Government provided software to conduct Release Train Management and to visualize systems status at various levels.

POSITION DUTIES:

  • Ensures that each Tableau view has all fields completed, in line with policy and procedures.
  • Track corrective actions and follow through with Government notification of any delinquent actions when necessary.
  • Develops Tableau products to ensure tracking at project, program and NGA levels for multiple release train and cadence schedules.
  • Works at the Management Team level and provides guidance, direction and support to the RTM Teams.
  • Produces graphics of integrated IPA delivery schedules for leadership use in briefings for events such as CIO-T PMR briefings, MSA reporting, etc.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, computer science, information systems, or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Tableau including integration with JIRA.
  • Expert in Dashboard creation and maintenance.
  • Experience developing and modifying reports and dashboards and providing connections to new and existing data sources.

POSITION DESIRED:

  • Experience with SQL, relational databases, and normalization to strengthen integration and data modeling.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an expert in Tableau dashboard creation and maintenance, capable of building clear, actionable visualizations that support leadership decisions.
  • Have proven experience integrating Tableau with JIRA, enabling real-time status tracking and reporting aligned to Agile and RTM processes.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to develop and modify reports/dashboards, connecting Tableau to both new and existing data sources.
  • Possess experience in system administration and performance optimization, ensuring Tableau resources are efficient, reliable, and secure.
  • Understand how to track corrective actions and maintain compliance, providing timely notifications of delinquent actions to Government stakeholders.
  • Be skilled in producing integrated program schedules and graphics for use in senior leadership briefings (e.g., CIO-T PMR, MSA reporting).
  • Have the ability to guide and support RTM teams, providing data-driven insights and ensuring Tableau products reflect project and program cadence schedules.
  • Demonstrated understanding of SAFe Agile constructs (Solution Epics, Capabilities, Features, etc.) to support Release Train Management alignment.
  • Excellent communication skills to support enterprise-wide synchronization, status reporting, and collaboration with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency.
