Who we are:
The Gill Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of honeycomb, high performance floor panels, cargo compartment liners and original equipment for passenger and freighter aircraft. The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products.
The Gill Corporation is seeking a Material Handler. The Material Handler Need to be a certified forklift operator and able to work in a fast paced environment. All material movements (issues, receipts and transfers) must have a corresponding inventory transaction. Moves core from shipping fabrication area to various destinations and ensures that materials conforms to required specifications. Validates shippers and loads delivery trucks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepares all packaging set-ups per shipping instructions.
  • Assembles wooden skids using tools, wood product and other materials according to required packaging codes.
  • Completes product count and ensures type and quantity as it conforms to internal pack list.
  • Packs finished product into boxes or drums, using steel strapping or tape. Applies labels for shipping.
  • Must be able to use tools such as bench saw, table saw, hammer, nails, nail gun, staple gun, glue gun, and steel strapping, etc.
  • Must have knowledge of company products. Know how to read internal shipping instructions and make stamps or labels.
  • Loads product on the carrier trucks.
  • Submits internal pack list with lot and traceable information to shipping clerk.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Forklift Certification, with a valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Forklift experience.
  • Company ERP system.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must have English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, understand, and communicate the company's operating procedures and policies.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to demonstrate math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position applied.
  • Must be available to work the shift specified by the position and be flexible to potential overtime on weekends/ holidays.
