THE OPPORTUNITY
Working with customers and a big, talented art team makes us happy. At Lakeshirts, our Production Artists help turn creative ideas into production-ready apparel and accessories across screenprint, embroidery, applique, heat press, foil, acid gel, softwash, sublimation, and more. We are looking for detail-loving Floor Support Production Artists to support the screenprint production floor, troubleshoot artwork issues, and help keep quality standards clear, consistent, and moving in the right direction.
This is an onsite position in Detroit Lakes, MN. No remote opportunities are available for this role.
PAY + SCHEDULE
Location: Detroit Lakes, MN - onsite.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Pay: $18/hour.
Growth: Build hands-on production art experience while working closely with artists, leads, and the screenprint floor.

A TYPICAL DAY
  • Coordinate screen reburns when screens are damaged or missing from the screenprint cell.
  • Update artwork and production files in Adobe Illustrator so designs meet Lakeshirts standards.
  • Partner with production and art leads tosolvefloor issues and create the best-quality product for customers.
  • Record errors and inconsistencies to strengthen artist knowledge and improve production-ready files.
  • Support lean practices by helping reduce waste and improve daily workflow.
  • Handle daily art support tasks such as DTS sending, namedrops, proofing, and art comps based on production needs.
  • Communicate standards questions or inconsistencies to the Art Manager and production leads.

SKILLS
  • 2-year or 4-year degree in Graphic Designrequired, with strong Adobe Illustratorproficiency.
  • Comfortable using computers, digital art files, and production workflow systems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow through while managing interruptions and shifting priorities.
  • A clear written and verbal communicator who works well with artists, leads, and production teammates.
  • Reliable, responsible, flexible, and able to use good judgment when making independent decisions.
  • Excited to support screenprint production, improve standards, and help great designs make it to the floor.
