Job description

SYSTEMS/TEST ENGINEER
The Systems/Test Engineer will provide engineering expertise to upgrade and modernize SATCOM systems for our DoD customer at Ft. Belvoir, VA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, and documentation of very complex applications that require a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills.
  • Directs and participates in all phases of system development, with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, testing and acceptance phases (IV&V and DT&E).
  • Applies higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at automated engineering solutions.
  • Develops and maintains earth terminal acceptance and equipment test plans.
  • Supports spectrum supportability requirements for satellite terminal and modem equipment.
  • Prepares and submits spectrum management data, frequency requests, and host nation approval requests.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience & Master's degree in related field;Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience & Master's degree in related field;Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience & Master's degree in related field; or
  • Minimum of 7 years of applicable experience & Bachelor's degree in related field; or
  • Minimum of 9 years of applicable experience & Bachelor's degree in any field

COMPENSATION
Systek determines its wages by many factors, including related experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, certifications, geographic location, contract labor category and wage rates, and organizational requirements. The estimated annual wage range at the time of job posting is $75-130k, which represents the typical salary range for this position.
