Customer Integration Engineer

Rovex Technologies Corporation

Saint Petersburg, FL • On-site

Full-time

Posted 5 days ago

Job description

Overview
Rovex is seeking a Customer Integration Engineer to support hospital deployments, workflow integration, and customer success as we bring autonomous robotics into real-world healthcare environments.
This role will report to the Director of Partnerships and will work closely with hospital operations teams, transport departments, clinical leaders, and the Rovex engineering team to understand existing hospital workflows and help integrate Rovex's autonomous stretcher transport system into daily operations.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for someone with a strong analytical and technical background, likely in industrial engineering, systems engineering, integration engineering, process engineering, or a related field. The ideal candidate is comfortable spending time on-site in hospitals, mapping workflows, identifying operational bottlenecks, and translating frontline realities into practical deployment plans.
The role will be based primarily in-person at the Rovex office at the ARK Innovation Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, which will serve as the base of operations. The position will require regular on-site work with hospitals in the Tampa/St. Petersburg region, occasional travel to other health systems around the country at the beginning of deployments, and travel to Rovex's home base in Gainesville, FL for initial and annual technical training, product learning, and team coordination.
About Rovex
Rovex is a medical robotics company building autonomous systems to improve hospital operations and patient care. Our robots are designed to handle critical, repeatable tasks such as patient transport, hospital mapping, and real-time environment monitoring, freeing up healthcare staff to focus on higher-value care.
We are an early-stage, high-growth company working closely with hospital partners to deploy and refine our technology in real-world environments. Our mission is to increase efficiency, reduce operational strain, and elevate the quality of care within healthcare systems.
Rovex is a fast-moving, builder-driven team focused on solving meaningful problems at the intersection of robotics, healthcare, and operations.
Core Responsibilities
1. Hospital Workflow Analysis & Integration
• Analyze current hospital transport workflows, including stretcher movement, patient flow, staff handoffs, equipment movement, and department-to-department transport needs
• Identify operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, staffing constraints, and opportunities where Rovex can create measurable value
• Map how Rovex's autonomous stretcher transport robot can fit into existing hospital workflows with minimal disruption to clinical care
• Support site readiness assessments, route analysis, workflow documentation, and deployment planning
2. Deployment & Integration Support
• Support the Director of Partnerships in preparing for and executing hospital deployments
• Serve as a high-touch on-site contact for hospital partners during pilots, installations, training, and early adoption
• Work with hospital stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and help troubleshoot operational issues
• Translate customer feedback and workflow observations into clear requirements for Rovex's engineering, product, and leadership teams
3. Data, Process Improvement & Value Measurement
• Collect and analyze workflow, utilization, and deployment data to help measure Rovex's impact
• Support development of customer success metrics, ROI analysis, case studies, and deployment learnings
• Help build repeatable deployment processes, training materials, and integration playbooks as Rovex scales across hospital systems
Requirements
Experience
1-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, process engineering, systems engineering, operations engineering, healthcare operations, logistics, implementation, technology deployment, manufacturing process improvement, or a related field
Strong analytical ability with experience studying, mapping, improving, or implementing operational workflows
Comfort working in complex, real-world environments where processes are not always clearly documented
Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to travel regularly to customer sites in the Tampa/St. Petersburg region and occasionally to other health systems across the country
Ability to work primarily in-person from the ARK Innovation Center in St. Petersburg, Florida
Ideal Candidate Profile
This person should be highly organized, analytical, and comfortable operating in ambiguity. They should enjoy spending time in the field, talking with hospital staff, watching how work actually gets done, and figuring out how technology can improve operations without adding unnecessary complexity.
They should not be someone who only wants to manage from behind a desk. This is a hands-on role that requires walking hospital hallways, asking detailed questions, documenting workflows, building trust with frontline staff, and helping Rovex learn what it takes to deploy successfully in real healthcare environments.
The ideal candidate combines the mindset of an industrial engineer with the customer orientation of a partnerships or implementation professional.
Benefits
Salary: $70,000-$80,000, based on experience
Equity: Eligible for stock options
Location: St. Petersburg, Florida
Primary Work Location: In-person at ARK Innovation Center in St. Petersburg
Travel: Regular local travel to hospital partners in the St. Petersburg region, occasional national travel for deployments, and rare travel to Rovex's home base for training and technology onboarding
