Systems Integration Engineer
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact on national security space missions? You understand your customer's environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution. If this sounds like you, come join Booz Allen Hamilton's Strategic team to work on a top-priority space program.
On our team, you will work with Booz Allen colleagues, support contractors, and U.S. Space Force personnel to develop and deploy the next generation of strategic military satellite communications capabilities. You will be an integral part of the engineering branch to assist the government as the Lead Systems Integrator ensuring the space, ground, and crypto segments are integrated successfully to meet user's needs. You will provide direct support to the chief engineer and manage the Booz Allen engineering team supporting the program office. Your expertise and innovative thinking will be critical to ensuring capabilities are delivered to meet the threat.

You Have:
  • 9+ years of experience performing systems engineering or integration in DoD space systems or ground systems
  • 5+ years of experience with performing the risk management process on space-related Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, software, and hardware system
  • 5+ years of experience with identifying, analyzing, and proposing space systems or ground systems program risks, issues, opportunities, and mitigating handling plans
  • Experience with DoD technical program reviews, including SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, or PCAs
  • Experience with using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to be highly motivated, display a dynamic work ethic, and contribute to the DoD mission
  • Ability to effectively communicate, work collaboratively on a cross functional team and independently, demonstrating initiative to complete complex tasks to achieve program goals in a fast-paced environment
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Satellite Communications Mission area
  • Experience with space acquisition
  • Experience with a software program utilizing Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Confluence or JIRA
  • Ability to learn and solve problems quickly and creatively
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
