Platform Engineering is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead a team responsible for building and evolving the internal platforms that power software development across the company. This role leads engineers delivering modern build systems, developer tooling, cloud-native infrastructure, automation, and AI-enabled engineering capabilities that improve developer productivity, platform reliability, and software delivery while partnering across the organization to accelerate engineering excellence.

ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Platform Leadership
  • Lead the evolution of the company's Platform Engineering capabilities to enable faster, more secure, and more reliable software delivery.
  • Drive modernization of build systems, developer tooling, CI/CD, release automation, and Software Factory capabilities.
  • Champion cloud-native architectures, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and engineering best practices.
  • Evaluate and adopt AI-driven capabilities that improve developer productivity, software delivery, and engineering workflows.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance while empowering engineers to own implementation details.
People Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Platform Engineers.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop engineering talent.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and accountable engineering culture.
Delivery & Execution
  • Own delivery of strategic Platform Engineering initiatives.
  • Balance platform investments, operational priorities, and technical debt.
  • Identify risks, remove blockers, and communicate tradeoffs effectively.
  • Define and measure platform success through adoption, reliability, developer productivity, automation, and software delivery outcomes.
Collaboration
  • Build strong partnerships across Development, Quality Development, Security, Technical Services, Managed Services, and Product teams.
  • Translate business objectives into engineering priorities and execution plans.
  • Represent Platform Engineering in cross-functional planning and executive discussions.
  • Champion Platform Engineering as a strategic partner that enables engineering productivity across the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps.
  • 2+ years of engineering management experience.
  • Experience with several of the following: cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD, build systems, developer tooling, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives from planning through delivery.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) or developer platforms.
  • Experience leading modernization of build systems, software factories, or enterprise engineering platforms.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and software supply chain security.
  • Experience working with AI-powered engineering tools and agentic coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Tabnine).
  • Proven ability to evaluate and adopt emerging AI technologies that improve software delivery, platform operations, and developer productivity.
