ENGINEERING MANAGER NEEDED - LIMA, OHIO AREA


A Leading Automotive Supplier near the Lima, Ohio area needs an Engineering Manager. Previous Engineering Management Experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Plant is Required. Metal Stamping and Tool and Die Expertise is a Must. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Engineering Manager has the authority and the responsibility to coordinate and direct the efforts of process engineers, tool room and industrial engineer team members to assure that, through tooling programs, product quality and quantity meet or exceed customer expectations.


Has the authority and the responsibility to establish the duties and responsibilities for positions reporting directly to him.

Has the responsibility for the continuous improvement of Production Product’s in-plant and advanced engineering functions.

Has the authority to interface with customers, corporate, and plant engineering to resolve quality or quantity concerns.

Selects, develops, motivates, and trains qualified, skilled team members to assure quality of technical goals.

Assists other departments in the attainment of goals by providing engineering and technical assistance and/or tooling as necessary.

Assists in all engineering functions in plant, corporate exercises and tool shop build and design programs, including: O.S.H.A. regulations, ergonomics, and safety for personnel equipment.

Has the responsibility for tooling and equipment quality and efficiency, plant engineering, maintenance, engineering, and containerizing.

Leads and supports SPECS, MOS, TQM, C.F.T. and continuous improvement programs.

Complies with all quality and environmental system requirements.

Responsible for implementation of applicable Environmental System Programs.

Responsible for or designates responsibility for maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets, proper container labeling and new chemical reviews.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Journeyman's Card in Tool and Die is Preferred.

Previous Engineering Management experience with an Automotive Supplier is Required.

Prospective Candidates Must have Metal Stamping and Tool & Die Expertise.

Must have excellent managerial and supervisory skills, and verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of plant-wide Engineering and Manufacturing Functions.
