Job Description: Join our innovative team as a Lead Reliability, Maintainability & Safety (RAMS) Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of electronic communications technology. In this highly visible position, you will lead the analysis and optimization of advanced systems, directly impacting mission-critical projects and customer success. You will mentor and inspire junior engineers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and serve as a subject matter expert in RAMS engineering. Essential Functions: 

  • Perform comprehensive RAMS analyses for both hardware and software, including Reliability and Maintainability Predictions, Reliability Modeling, Failure Modes, Effects & Criticality Analyses (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and a variety of Safety Analyses and other RAMS-related activities. You will develop and present technical documentation and analysis results for both internal and external customer reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant military, government, and commercial handbooks and standards such as MIL-HDBK-217F, Telcordia SR-332, 217Plus, MIL-HDBK-470, MIL-STD-882, NFPA70, and NAS 411.
  • In this role, you will manage your time and resources effectively to support multiple concurrent engineering programs.
  • As a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced RAMS personnel, and you will be expected to maintain excellent communication and presentation skills for the delivery of technical data.
  • The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Preference will be given to applicants with electrical engineering degrees.
  • Previous RAMS, Human Factors Engineering, FRACAS, Logistics Analysis including GEIA-STD-0007, and defense industry experience.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Teamcenter, SAP, MS Office, SharePoint, Relyence, Catia Cameo, and Ansys Sherlock.
  • Strong mathematical skills, especially in probability and statistics.
