Job Description
Mission Technologies. a division of HII, is seeking an Information System Technology Analyst to provide administrative and technical support for a learning management system (LMS) while contributing to a wide range of database and systems engineering activities. This role includes analyzing data requirements, designing and maintaining databases, implementing data standards, and supporting data mining and warehousing initiatives. The Info Sys Tech Analyst will also evaluate system software, integrate hardware and software components and ensure optimal performance across the systems environment.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative and technical support for a learning management system (LMS).
  • Apply communication, technical, and teamwork skills to support a variety of tasks required by ongoing contract activities to support the LMS.
  • Analyze and define data requirements and specifications to including designing, normalizing, developing, installing, and implementing databases.
  • Maintain, monitor, performance tune, and support backup and recovery of databases; installs, configuring, and maintaining database management systems software.
  • Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements by developing and administering data standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement data mining and data warehousing programs by evaluating and providing recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.
  • Analyze systems requirements in response to business requirements, risks, and costs by evaluating, selecting, verifying, and validating the systems software environment.
  • Integrate hardware and software components within the systems environment by monitoring and fine-tuning performance of the systems environment and evaluating new systems engineering technologies and their effect on the operating environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • An active Secret clearance is required.
  • Hands-on work experience in information systems design, development, and analysis encompassing one or more of the following areas of technical expertise: programming, PC application analysis, software development, systems integration, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in the use of databases, excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and written and verbal communication skills are required.

Preferred Requirements
  • Sharable Content Object Resource Model (SCORM) compliant courseware delivery and the Navy Integrated Learning Environment (ILE) experience is a plus.
