Job description

We are looking for an expert level Systems Engineer to provide direct support to the Transporation Security Administration's (TSAs) Mulitmodal and Public Area Capabilities (MPAC) Division. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties for Air Cargo Screening Technology List (ACSTL) Qualification. The Systems Engineer is required to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and must possess strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
  • Provides technical expertise and assistance on ACSTL qualification of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screening technologies and emerging threats;
  • Leverages air cargo screening technologies to provide contract systems engineering services to the TSA;
  • Develops test plans, oversees testing, and incorporates data analytics in determining device efficacy for air cargo screening operations;
  • Reviews technical submissions including White Papers, Qualification Data Packages (QDPs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Developmental Change Proposals (DEPs);
  • Provides integral Configuration Management (CM) support through physical configuration audits and advisory support to CM lead;
  • Performs ad hoc tasking in support of mandated requirements and established team performance goals;
  • Supports the development of strategic communications such as briefings, memos, or reports in response to stakeholder inquiries;
  • Applies best practices for identifying, soliciting, and engaging technology innovation across a variety of sectors including federal, commercial, non-for-profit, academia, and public/private partnerships.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or Management Information Systems is required;
  • Fifteen (15) years of industry accepted relevant experience is required;
  • Active DoD-issued Top Secret Security Clearance is required at start, with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility;
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is required;
  • Must possess exceptional written and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail;
  • Must possess excellent customer service and time management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines;
  • Must be willing to periodically travel in support of events.
