We're looking for a motivated Security Systems Engineer to become a key member of our Indiana team. This position combines onsite customer support, field engineering, installation, and advanced technical troubleshooting while working with one of the largest employers in downtown Indianapolis.

Position Summary

As a Security Systems Engineer, you will serve as the primary onsite representative for MOSS at a major enterprise customer in downtown Indianapolis approximately 24 hours each week. You will build trusted relationships with customer personnel while providing technical support, troubleshooting, system maintenance, installations, and project assistance across a wide range of physical security technologies.

The remainder of your time will be spent supporting projects and service work throughout Indiana alongside the MOSS engineering and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onsite technical contact for a large enterprise customer in downtown Indianapolis approximately 24 hours per week.
  • Build strong working relationships with customer stakeholders while representing MOSS in a professional manner.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain enterprise physical security systems.
  • Support access control, video surveillance, intercom, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage technologies.
  • Perform system upgrades, preventative maintenance, commissioning, and service calls.
  • Diagnose hardware, software, network, and server-related issues with minimal supervision.
  • Support Windows servers, networking equipment, SQL databases, and security system infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with project managers, programmers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure successful project execution.
  • Document service activities, system changes, and customer communications.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to provide emergency support when required.
  • Travel throughout Indiana as needed to support customer installations and service projects.
  • Continuously expand technical knowledge through training and manufacturer certifications.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience installing and supporting enterprise physical security systems.
  • Experience with enterprise access control and video management platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout Indiana.
