Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as aSystems Engineer - Level 2 or 3based out ofMorrisville, NC.

Position Overview:

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system products to include concept, design, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.

This requisition may be filled as either a level 2 or level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a Engineer Systems:

  • Must have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree
  • Experience with requirements development, decomposition, software verification, and generating system and segment-level test procedures
  • Experience working on Agile programs and methodology
  • Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
  • Experience with Cameo and DOORS
  • Strong written and oral communications skills

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Engineer Systems:

  • Must have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 1 year of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Experience with requirements development, decomposition, software verification, and generating system and segment-level test procedures
  • Experience working on Agile programs and methodology
  • Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
  • Experience with Cameo and DOORS
  • Strong written and oral communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with full engineering life cycle and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with Cameo, STK, Python, MATLAB, Automated Testing
Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
