Job description

Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Rockville, Maryland Type: Direct Hire Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote

Responsibilities

  • Drive new revenue by identifying, qualifying, and securing IT staffing and consulting opportunities
  • Build and manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring consistent growth and long-term retention
  • Expand existing client relationships through deeper account penetration and additional staffing needs
  • Proactively prospect new clients and contacts to increase System One’s market presence
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to anticipate hiring demand and workforce needs
  • Deliver virtual, phone, and in-person presentations tailored to client objectives
  • Collaborate closely with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure strong execution and client satisfaction
  • Stay informed on IT staffing market trends to support strategic sales efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in IT staffing or consulting
  • Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close new business
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales tools such as Bullhorn and ZoomInfo preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
