The role can be based in Northern Virginia or the Linthicum, MD campus.

Primary Mission

Lead the development and execution of endtoend businessdevelopment strategies that generate new revenue opportunities and deliver winning capture approaches for both brandnew program initiations and the growth of existing programs.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Broad, strategic thinking with respect to emerging customer needs, competitive positioning, requisite capabilities, and the tactical moves necessary to enable the company to capture opportunity in the market
  • Develop and execute growth strategies, identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, establishing pursuit priorities, gaining and growing customer intimacy, and developing successful capture plans
  • Develop and mature contact plans with customer organizations and influencers
  • Assess customer needs and competitive threats for target opportunities to translate business opportunities into win strategies aligned with Northrop Grumman's business acquisition process.
  • Create high-level offering concepts that affordably meet customer mission needs by tailoring, growing and showcasing capabilities utilizing current technology development, technology reuse and strategic partners
  • Develop and deliver customer, partner and executive-level briefings
  • Develop and maintain technology roadmaps and the business pipeline to support the Business Unit Long-Range Strategic Plan. Ensure alignment of the pipeline with business unit strategic objectives
  • Support competitive assessment, capture and proposal teams in proposal development

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 8+ years with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in aerospace and defense industry.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with data analysis and executive level reporting/presentation/presence.
  • Ability to rapidly build rapport and relationship as trusted team member of the Business Unit.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and projects within critical deadlines.
  • Strong data analytic capability and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned an advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a STEM discipline or Business.
  • Maintains a wellestablished network of contacts within the Intelligence Community.
  • Previous work experience with aircraft or satellite RF systems, antennas, receivers, arrays
  • Previous work experience with digital signal processing or electronic warfare
  • Experience in business development, operations, program management, or project management
  • Experience with the business acquisition process (BAP) and/or capture management
  • Experience with the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management tool

Primary Level Salary Range: $167,500.00 - $251,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
