Job description

Systems Administrator

Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000

What will you do

  • Create, edit, maintain, and publish schedules for designated departments within the electronic scheduling
    system in accordance with agency policies, procedures, staffing requirements, and established
    guidelines.
  • Collaborate with department managers and operational leadership to maintain accurate staffing
    schedules and address open shifts, schedule changes, employee availability, planned and unplanned
    vacancies, and other staffing needs within assigned areas.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the agency’s workforce management, scheduling, and timekeeping
    systems, providing guidance and technical support to system users across the agency.
  • Administer and maintain system configuration, scheduling structures, employee assignments, access,
    workflows, and other system components necessary to support agency operations
  • Collaborate with system vendors and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot system issues, identify root
    causes, evaluate existing workflows, and implement system enhancements or process improvements that
    increase efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and usability.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and agency initiatives related to workforce management systems,
    including system development, testing, implementation, upgrades, and process improvement.
  • Develop and maintain standardized system procedures, documentation, reference materials, and training
    resources to promote consistent system use across the agency.
  • Monitor system functionality and data integrity to identify recurring issues, configuration concerns, trends,
    and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Payroll and Human Resources to identify and resolve workforce management system
    issues affecting employee records, scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll accuracy.
  • Support agency initiatives involving temporary and contract labor, including resource allocation, system
    access, scheduling, timekeeping, testing, and process development.
  • Partner with operational and scheduling leadership across agency divisions to provide system-level
    support and solutions while designated leadership retains responsibility for daily staffing and operational
    decision-making.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Assistance in training on the system for new staff

Qualification:

Education
Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college or university in special education or related field, with
emphasis in the area of Education Psychology, Social Science or related field.

Work Experience
Demonstrated experience with workforce management, scheduling, timekeeping, or related systems,
including hands-on experience with system support, troubleshooting, and process improvement.

At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted
in lieu of the requirements specified above under Education and Experience.
