Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

  • Commitment to safety as the #1 core value.
  • Commitment to teamwork in increasing Nucor Warehouse Systems' Sales and Profits.
  • A demonstrated ability to generate quotation packages and final detail packages for complex rack systems including selective rack, cantilever, dynamic systems, drive-in rack, and pick modules.
  • Create system approval drawings, permit drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for customers as needed, during quotation phase as well as during order phase.
  • An understanding of how to interpret engineering calculations to help design systems, basic math to calculate system weights, and have an expert grasp of graphic standards.
  • Collaborate and communicate with outside customers as well as internal customers such as Sales, Engineering, Production, and Project Management, to support successful client projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years' experience in the Racking / Material Handling industry
  • Expert command of AutCAD design software
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, design, or comparable experience
  • Experience with 3D Autodesk design software Inventor or Revit
  • Prior experience leading a team
