Job description

What's the Short Version?
The Business Systems Analyst supports cross-organizational, complex systems. The role determines areas for support and improvements, collects, analyzes, and evaluates business and users' needs across systems, and proposes technical solutions. They work closely with business and technical teams to define key processes, requirements, and system integrations across the enterprise.
What Will You Be Doing?
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document functional and technical requirements for integration projects.
  • Support analysis and enhancement of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), including requirements definition, data analysis, and integration with enterprise platforms.
  • Lead work streams within projects of significant size or impact.
  • Translate business rules and requirements into process workflows, charts, models, and technical specifications.
  • Proficient in documenting current and future state business workflows using computer-based workflow diagram software (Visio, Miro, Draw.io, etc.).
  • Develop subject matter expertise in foundational data, application, and platform functionality and features.
  • Conduct analysis of system issues and propose technical solutions.
  • Provide direction, prioritization, and refinement of the backlog for product(s) as assigned; may work as a product owner for a solution or scrum team.
  • Clarify questions from the development/QA teams regarding the intended usage of enhancements and software, and the definition of business terms and processes.
  • Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and scrum teams to ensure alignment and understanding of project or enhancement goals.
  • Maintain project documentation, including but not limited to user stories, functional requirements, meeting minutes, and solutions for defects.
  • Work closely with QA teams to ensure systems are built and configured to requirements and design specifications and participate in the development of the test plan and test cases.
  • Maintain support documentation and assist with training business and technical support teams on new/revised functionality.
  • Investigate issues that are escalated by Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams, engage the right teams and provide guidance on corrective actions.
  • Key partner in communications for project stakeholders and project managers, assist with the development of content and delivery of project communications and aid in stakeholder management.
  • Effectively document business and system information, evaluate current business processes and compile objectives for streamlining business procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

What Are We Looking For?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 1-3 years experience as a business systems analyst or related role
  • Hands-on experience supporting or analyzing CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), including understanding of data structures, workflows, and system integrations
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) required; programs including Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio a plus
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and solid communication with all levels of management
  • Willing to take initiative to identify and anticipate improvement opportunities and make recommendations for implementation
  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; emphasis on exceptional listening skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $80,170 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?
Hybrid: SanMar's Eastpointe office is located in Issaquah, WA in the Seattle metropolitan area. Employees are required to work in our offices Tuesday through Thursday each week and additional days may be added based on business needs. Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Periodic travel may be required. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and participating in virtual and in-person meetings. Frequent use of hands for keyboarding and standard office equipment is required. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be needed to attend meetings or collaborate in an office setting. The role requires the ability to perform close visual work on a computer for extended periods. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
