MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Test Area Manager to join our team! This is a hybrid position with two days a week onsite in Washington, D.C..

The Test Area manager provides test and evaluation oversight, planning, execution, data management, and reporting across multiple programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform T&E technical analysis within integrated program teams, providing technical advisory and system integrator oversight to government division leads.
  • Evaluate system effectiveness and suitability in operationally constrained environments, ensuring alignment with top-level requirements.
  • Develop sound test data collection approaches to ensure gathered data can be analyzed to provide objective evidence of overall system performance.
  • Participate in Technical Working Groups and Integrated Program Teams to align program development schedules with systems engineering and test activities.
  • Serve in a key technical role during design reviews and T&E Working Groups to ensure tasks meet milestone criteria and assess work products.
  • Apply a comprehensive understanding of the System Development Life Cycle while observing and assessing Developmental, Operational, and Cyber test events.
  • Support T&E classes and workshops with creating content and presentations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree and at least 10 years' experience is required.
  • Selected candidate must be trained/certified or willing to be trained/certified to the DHS T&E Certification Level II equivalency. 
  • Proven ability to respond quickly to requirements and tasks with stringent deadlines in a demanding homeland security environment; possess strong critical thinking abilities and judgment skills; and be able to interact with various levels of people within and outside of a government organization.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with DHS Acquisition Directives and Acquisition Lifecycle Framework (AD102/ALF); knowledge, understanding and/or experience with the DHS (or DoD equivalent) Test and Evaluation (T&E) policies, procedures and best practices for conducting, monitoring and reviewing operational test and evaluation.
  • Experience supporting and performing assessments of T&E artifacts, such as the T&E Master Plan (TEMP), Developmental Test and Evaluation Plans, Operational Test and Evaluation Plans, Operational Requirements Documents, Mission Needs Statements, Cyber Resilience Test Plans; and assist with Letters of Assessment, and T&E guidelines.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DHS and/or DoW experience.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and willing and able to obtain a DHS Suitability prior to starting this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer. 

The projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00.
