Job description

Summary: Reporting to the Vice President of Operations and serving as a member of the Senior Management Team, this position's primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for Parabit's project management functions. The Project Manager will help create organizational strategies, policies, and practices in collaboration with the President and Senior Management.


This position will manage a variety of accounts and projects, and will also assess new build plans, assess various procedures in the production process (review manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve quality and develop best practices), and maintain an open line of communication with multiple department, vendors and clients. This position will also implement ISO 9000 practices and guidelines with certification as a future objective.


Responsibilities:

  • Leads the orderly progression of projects from the proposal stage through project completion by interacting with the client, technical staff, and business development staff.
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of departmental procedures, and communication between departments.
  • Maintains project documentation - communications, schedules, sample submission paperwork, meeting minutes.
  • Ensures timely and smooth transition of projects through Tech Transfer and R&D project phases.
  • Hold cross-functional teams accountable and give direction to project personnel.
  • Maintain accurate open Purchase Order lines to define the inbound quantities and due dates from vendors, identify system demand or BOM issues, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Regular meetings with the President and Sr. Management around project planning.

Organizational Leadership

  • Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the senior management team.
  • Drive initiatives in the organization that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • 4 year bachelor's degree.
  • Strong appreciation of the design-build contracting methodology and prior experience completing design-build projects.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the Project Management field.
  • Strong background and work experience in manufacturing.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, and outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff and major projects or initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Budget development and oversight experience.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Knowledge of compliance implications.
  • Excels at operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.
  • Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the company.
