We are seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support systems architecture, integration, sustainment, and lifecycle engineering for a mission-critical defense program in Oahu, Hawaii. The Systems Engineer will support design, implementation, and operational sustainment of secure, mission-critical IT and operational systems in a classified and unclassified environment.

The ideal candidate has experience applying structured systems engineering principles in DoW environments, understands cybersecurity integration, and can support system modernization and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides engineering, technical support, and troubleshooting to ensure the functionality, efficiency, and reliability of IT systems and applications.
  • Responsible for developing engineering assessments of system configurations, including reviews for correctness, adherence to the design concept, alignment with user standards, and progress according to project schedules.
  • Formulates and defines specifications for operating system applications or modifies and maintains existing applications using engineering releases and utilities provided by the manufacturer.
  • Conducts program design, modeling, simulation, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Coordinates with Project and Program Managers to ensure effective problem resolution, user satisfaction, and adherence to milestones. Prepares milestone reports, system presentations, and provides recommendations for approval of major systems installations.
  • Installs and tests hardware as required and is responsible for quality assurance reviews, as well as the evaluation and integration of new and existing hardware and software products.
  • Supports large telecommunications/communications networks, file maintenance routines, and advanced scientific/mathematical software packages.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience: 6-7 years of relevant experience, depending on role complexity.
  • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance. TS preferred.

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
