We are seeking an experienced and motivated System Development Manager to lead a team of systems development engineers within KDSI. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical depth in enterprise infrastructure and engineering platforms with proven people management skills. In this role, you will be responsible for building and developing a high-performing team while driving the strategy, execution, and operational excellence of the critical infrastructure and platforms that enable Leo's engineering, manufacturing, and operational workflows.
Key job responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development: Hire, mentor, and develop a team of system development engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and operational excellence.
Strategic Planning: Define and execute the infrastructure roadmap for KDSI services, aligning team priorities with Leo's business objectives and growth trajectory.
Enterprise Platform Ownership: Own the delivery and operational health of enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, and EDM that support engineering data and lifecycle management workflows.
Manufacturing & Factory Systems: Drive the strategy and operations of factory and lab infrastructure including Hexagon EAM and digital signage systems.
Automation & Scalability: Champion automation strategies, including infrastructure as code, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines, to streamline deployments, reduce toil, and improve operational efficiency across all managed services.
Security & Compliance: Ensure infrastructure configurations comply with internal policies, AWS best practices, and applicable government and industry standards, including NIST, FedRAMP, ITAR, and EAR where applicable.
Operational Excellence: Establish and maintain operational metrics, SLAs, and processes to ensure the health, performance, and reliability of all infrastructure systems.
Stakeholder Management: Partner with cross-functional leaders, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Security, and IT, to understand requirements, prioritize work, and deliver scalable, compliant infrastructure solutions.
Documentation & Standards: Establish team standards for architecture designs, SOPs, and disaster recovery plans.
