Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical specialists across product engineering, manufacturing engineering, CAD/design, and continuous improvement.
  • Build a highperformance engineering culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Technical Ownership & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee all engineering activities including product modifications, NPI (New Product Introduction), equipment and tooling design, automation projects, and process engineering.
  • Optimize plant layout, material flow, and manufacturing processes to improve throughput, safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, supply chain, sales, and quality to deliver technical solutions that support production goals and customer satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Methodologies

  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, increase productivity, and enhance process capability.
  • Champion rootcause analysis, corrective action, and structured problemsolving across engineering and operations.

Capital Projects & Investment Leadership

  • Own capital engineering projects from concept to execution, including scoping, ROI justification, vendor engagement, installation, commissioning, and performance validation.
  • Manage capital budgets while ensuring safe, efficient, and highquality project implementation.

Engineering Governance & Technical Standards

  • Ensure all engineering work complies with safety regulations, industry codes, and ASSA ABLOY engineering requirements.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, BOMs, tooling standards, and changemanagement processes.
  • Develop and track engineering metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor engineering performance, improvements, and project progress.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline (Master's preferred).
  • 8-10+ years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior engineering leadership experience required.
  • Background in metal fabrication, industrial/commercial door systems, building products, or similar industries highly desirable.

Technical Strengths

  • Strong expertise in manufacturing processes, automation, equipment specification, CAD, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience managing capital budgets and leading capital projects.
  • Skilled in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and metrics-driven decision-making skills.

Leadership Skills

  • Proven experience developing engineering teams and driving operational improvements.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and crossfunctional collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, ISO, NFPA, and relevant industry standards is a plus.

Compensation ranges from $148,309 - $209,462*. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution) among others.
