Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager will proactively influence Corporate and Government end-user customers on the benefits of choosing our products and solutions. This is a strategic role that will greatly impact the future of our business, revenue and the products we create. You will concentrate on identifying needs, growth strategies and relationship development. This includes business strategy, product development, sales channels, growth and marketing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain existing and develop new customer relationships within a specific region.
  • Target new customer decision makers within an organization or agency.
  • Pursing assigned project leads and follow through to secure business.
  • Collaborate with Extron design engineers to ensure that customer requirements/needs are met.
  • Identify and attend tradeshows and events within your region that are critical to Extron's success.
  • Partner with Extron regional sales & technical colleagues to ensure channel partners and contractors lead with Extron solutions.
  • Have a strong understanding of Extron position in the marketplace and how to sell against competition.
  • Maintain and grow in-region manufacture partnerships that are complimentary to Extron's efforts.

Required Experience and Education:
  • 5+ years' experience in relationship management, with a strong technical background, developing accounts and selling hardware and software system solutions & services.
  • Expertise in strategically positioning audio/video distribution systems and control solutions.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, contract vehicles, information technology procurement requirements, and facilities management needs within a large organization.
  • Understanding of government contracts vehicles and corporate customers' procurement cycles.
  • Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, highly organized, computer literate.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • 25% Travel required.

Salary range: $125,000 to $175,000. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
